Tallinn, Estonia - February 2007

We also got to see other parts of the city - the summer palace that Peter the Great built here, an outdoor music amptheater that has had as many as 30,000 singers performing at one time with 100's of thousands of observers and even more people gathered here during the movement for independence in 1991.  We also got to visit an outdoor museum of Estonian life.  Of course there was the required stop in the local pubs to sample the local beer.   Also notice all the amber!  Amber is a big trade item in the Baltics along with linen and wool.  Look carefully and you'll see they also sell Schmuck :)

We stayed in a very nice hotel in the old town called the St Petersbough and got to eat at several different restaurants including Olde Hansa that tries it's best to serve authentic 15th century medieval meals and atmosphere.
