So we decided to try something different! There is a new dive boat in Oman, The Vision, and from what we could tell the only real live aboard dive boat other than some rugged 2-3 day boats that don’t go far. The Vision took up into the Musandam section of Oman out of the port of Dibba. We ventured all the way to the Straight of Hormuz where we had some interesting military interaction and could hear sonar pulses underwater. Surfacing with a gun boat with machine guns pointing at you was a new one for me.

Dubai itself is an amazing place to visit! Growing so fast and so ultra modern. We spent three days before the dive boat and two after. Visited the Burj Khalif on the 154th floor, stayed downtown in the St Regis and then a few nights at the Atlantis Hotel on the palm.
