A trip that started as a booking to a different destination in 2018 for travel in 2020. We all know how that worked out. So finally Matt and I ended up on the Master Liveaboard’s Philippine Siren. One of our favorite type of dive boats as we had been out on the Indo Siren many times before its demise.
Travel for this one was an adventure. With typhoon after typhoon baring down the northern Philippines and Taiwan we had to fly around two different storms coming and going out of Taipei. Not the most enjoyable. However all the storms stayed far enough to the north that we enjoyed nearly perfect weather while diving.
The specials this trip did not disappoint. We had thresher sharks and whale sharks. This is one of the only place to see threshers up close. Expecting just one or two we were blessed with scores of sharks from the moment we dropped in!
They dive crew was awesome and the boat in great shape. Very enjoyable trip!!
